The Portex Thermovent T2 Tracheostomy Tube Filter is a sterile Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME) designed to humidify and filter air entering a tracheostomy tube. It helps maintain airway moisture while protecting the patient’s lungs from airborne contaminants.
Manufactured using lightweight, biocompatible materials, the filter incorporates a hydrophobic membrane that prevents moisture from entering the tracheostomy tube while allowing effective air filtration. It is intended for single-patient use and can be used for up to 24 hours, after which replacement is recommended.
